Hidden Acres Family Campground, Preston, Connecticut has many wonderful features. This small campground is situated right by the Quinebaug River. It is also close to Mohegan Sun and the Mystic Aquarium. The campground is well maintained, and there's something for everyone. Hidden Acres has been a favorite spot for decades.

The campground has 150 sites, including tent-only and electric-only options. You can rent an RV or cabin. Bundles of wood can be purchased at the store. There is a variety of lunch and breakfast options at the onsite restaurant. There are two swimming pools and a small lake at each campsite. The campground welcomes pets. Although dogs are allowed on all campsites, they must be properly behaved.

The campground also offers the following features: a petting zoo, barnyard goats, and a stocked fishing pond. The site also features a scavenger course and a miniature golf range. Some sites offer views of Douthat Lake. The bathrooms have modern facilities and are well-priced. There are many dances and other fun events.

During the week, the campground has a $38 basic site fee. Weekends are $10. For military families, a half-price rate may be available. To use the facilities, all visitors must register and return all information packets by 4/16/22. Children under 16 must be accompanied with an adult.


The best thing about this campground, however, is that it is family owned and operated. It's been in existence for over 50 years and still has a lot of life ahead. The park is well-maintained and kept clean by the family-friendly management. They also provide a variety of activities, and a full menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Scavenger hunts, horseback riding, and other fun activities are all available. Look no further if you are looking for something unique to do. You also have seasonal options like the Haunted Happenings Weekends and Retro Weekends.
