If you are looking to find an RV park that is family-friendly and pet friendly, with a fishing pond, and some history, then look no further. Ballyhoo Family Campground can be found on the Cumberland Plateau. It is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle city life.
The RV park has an extensive dog walking area and is well-equipped. There are also a few other amenities that will not make you millionaire. The RV park also has a disc golf course, so you can hit the links when you aren't mucking around in your shiny new RV. Other than the obvious, the campsite also offers a 9-hole Frisbee and putting green as well as a small pond. It's conveniently located near Byrd Lake. The campground is situated in a lovely setting and the owners are eager to share their wealth.
It's not uncommon to find a campground that offers just the bare essentials, such as electricity, cable TV, and WiFi, while others boast full service RV facilities with all the trimmings. While I haven't been to Ballyhoo Family Campground yet, I am willing to wager that it is a great place for a few hours. I have heard that Stanley Watkins and Doris Watkins are very friendly and will most likely be hosting guests in the future.

The area can get very hot during summer so be sure to bring a jacket and light raincoat.
Among the many attractions at this campground, there is a very small pond, a few trees to provide some shade, and the oh so cute resident ducks. It is easy to see why this park is so popular with both families and travelers over the years. The campsite is just four miles away. It's also located in a peaceful, rural setting that is an absolute joy.
