Lake LaDonna Family Campground, a family-friendly campground is located near White Pines Forest Nature Preserve (and the city of Oregon). You may meet people while you are here, as with all tourist destinations. The campground is not short on amenities, including swimming pools, a game room, a plethora of onsite entertainment options and some pretty well stocked showers and restrooms. In fact, it's so popular that they have a waiting list.
There are plenty of campers who are snooty, so make sure you have the right people. The staff aren't too fussy, however. The campsite is located at 1302 S Harmony Road, just east of Oregon. You may need to reserve a campsite. The most popular months are May and September, while June or October are more common. There are special rules for pets at the campground. The campground is a stone's throw from a number of attractions, including the White Pines, a sylvan paradise on the prairie, and the Oregon Museum of History. A few restaurants and bars are available to keep you satiated. You're also right in Ogle County's biggest tourism hub. There are other activities available in the vicinity, such as taking a cruise along the picturesque riverfront town Washington, Illinois. A number of parks and small lakes are found in the immediate area. They are perfect for pets as well as kids.
